OCTOBER 17
On the October 2nd Fitness Test, I performed 20 push ups, 20 curl ups, and 96 step-ups, with a heart rate of 170 BPM. Compared to the September 10th Fitness Test, my push up number increased from 18 to 20, my curl up number increased from 12 to 20, and although the step up number did not change, my heart rate dropped from 190 BPM to 170. However, this may have been due to the differing methods my class has used to check our heart rates.
I improved on all three fitness tests compared to the test taken on September 10th. My increase in success is due to the lightly strenuous physical activity performed in class each day, including bench pressing and other upper body workouts, and lunges, squats, and practicing step ups each day.
Each day in class I set out to try my best, and I perform fitness tests to the best of my ability. Though I am only taking this class because I need another half credit for P.E., I resolved that I would give my all and work toward improving my personal fitness while enrolled. I can further improve in this class by continuing to perform all activities to the best of my ability, and by testing myself, performing exercises that will stretch but not strain my muscles.
